The Mother drew a spectacularly definitive line in the sand between us yesterday.
It’s taught me that actually, despite what society thinks is acceptable, you can cut members of ”family” from your life because if you don’t, they will either destroy you alongside themselves or drive you crazy. Which is almost the same thing.
It makes me sad though. It’s like she’s cut herself adrift from everybody who loves her and has tried to help. Feels a bit like she died actually.

I hate setting the alarm at work. It makes a noise like an ambulance being raped by a tractor.
